Main Automation Contractor
As Main Automation Contractor we take single-point responsibility for the process control system: the specifications, the bid package, the vendors, the testing and the documentation, from FEED to as-built.
During FEED
- The complete PCS project specification set: DCS, ESD/SIS, SCADA, compressor control, machine protection, alarm management, data acquisition and historians, and analytical systems.
- Typical system drawings and the scope of work for the MAC invitation to bid.
- I/O estimation, system sizing and power requirements.
- System philosophies and the split of scope between the MAC and package suppliers.
- Preliminary cost estimation to support the project's CAPEX case.
During EPC and at site
- Project-management support through detailed design.
- Review of third-party and vendor packages.
- MAC interface management between contractor packages.
- Preliminary and critical design reviews, and risk assessments.
- Attendance and witness of FAT and integrated FAT.
- Site installation supervision, pre-commissioning and commissioning support.
- Site acceptance tests, documentation close-out and as-built records.
Where we have done it
We have delivered MAC scopes on greenfield and brownfield projects across oil and gas, petrochemicals, power and utilities, including a series of compressor, turbine-generator and safeguarding system upgrades on live LNG trains. We also act as system integrator for SCADA systems together with our partners. The project register lists the recent work.
