• Each readiness pillar measured against SECL checklists and given a clear red-amber-green status.
• Contingency analysis of the risks that would move cost, duration, quality or safety.
• Risk-based mitigation plans, agreed with the people who will carry them out.

Close-out and lessons learned

• Actual results reviewed against plan: duration, cost, HSE performance and quality.
• Interviews with the key activity owners across the pre-turnaround, execution and post-turnaround phases.
• Facilitated group sessions to capture the lessons, with the resulting actions owned jointly by operations, maintenance, inspection, engineering and the contractors.
